Also you cant just read it as "the bible"
the bible has many books in it you $#@!ing *#$@ and each book has a different message that sometimes even contradict each other.

Yeah Adept. You can't just pick up a bible and read it. Just like you can't just pick up a sandwich and eat it. It's not as simple as looking at the page and making sense of the words. Here, allow me to outline the steps to reading the bible.
Reading the Bible:
1. Find Bible
2. Pick up Bible
3. Open Bible
4. ????
5. Read Bible
6. Profit

You aren't making any sense at all.
But for your information, I have actually belonged to the church: been babtised as a baby, gone through confirmation camp debating with the priests and learning about the bible and christianity and been confirmed. I have been through the whole damned machine and left on my own free will... and you know what, I don't know of any good reason why I couldn't just pick up the bible and read it. I do believe it's a thing a good christian is supposed to do, and they even give bibles to non-believers to read so they could find god.
So I say again... what the hell are you on about?

by the bible I mean the old testament, I know jack@#(! about the new testament so thats not my thing really.
