Would be breaking article 8 of the nato agreement. Anyone breaking article 8/ breaching the treaty would be liable to be expelled from nato. Why trump made a deal to remove our forces is a head scratcher. Sounds like he got on the phone with erdogen and made a deal without consulting anyone.

Now that the US is pulling out of Syria, it's interesting that none of the other 28 NATO members have announced that they are sending troops in to help out the situation.
I would think that European nations have a lot more at stake in the region than the US does.

Germany only sends weapons (to turkey and to the kurds), because we like earning money, not spending.
