It could be a good trade off for the UK in the future. So what? The UK citizens need a stamp in the passport to travel to the rest of the world, and a stamp more to trade. It might go sour for "the city" in London if the multinational financials are leaving.

Think of the other side of the coin. UK controls the border and decides who and what gets inside. Get rid of useless laws like how much curve is allowed for a cucumber to be sold. Tons of good fruit is dumped as a result.

The UK may lose X Pounds on income but they might save X+Y Pounds on useless clutter.

Is it really that bad to get rid of those locus multinationals which only pick your city because you facilitate in their race to the bottom cheapest place to operate?

If the EU needs reform then reform it. There's no reason that the UK shouldn't be one of the driving forces of the EU (and our voting record actually bears out that we are/were).

The UK is already losing on jobs and influence (EMA and EBA relocating soon) and the alternative to EU membership appears to be a low tax low wage economy in order to entice the multinationals back. You may not like the multinationals but they are big players within an economy, they may not pay much tax but that's surely down to the government to fix the loopholes rather than anything else?

Terran's canadian, they don't have clean fuel like coal up there, only dirty, carbon-dioxide and soot-spewing uranium. And you know what uranium is, right? Nuclear weapons and lots of bad stuff like that.

yeah we aren't exactly a model citizen when it comes to being environmentally friendly up here in Canada... we do have nuclear power but it only makes up 15% of total energy production. USA's nuclear generation makes up ~20% of its total. we also have tons of idiots that seem to think it's bad for the environment and we should build more hydrocarbon plants instead

UK should make a deal with MyLittleCountry. Take away a lot of the almost endless flow of trolley pulling tourists in Amsterdam (that is a City in MyLittleCountry) on route to AirBNB houses.
