Now I am calling you stupid for your inability to read.

If you were present you would´ve checked the game size and launched as soon as you were down players.

I'll repeat myself:

"Multiple boots. I was sitting because we were up one. Then my comm booted another guy for base sitting and me as well.I assume he didn't see my post when I volunteered to sit because the other team was up one." "I was booted for base sitting AFTER I VOLUNTEERED TO STAY IN BASE BECAUSE OUR TEAM WAS 1 UP!"

He booted the base sitter and me at the same time,so the game size showed we were up 1 when I was booted.I didn't launch against the bomb run because
I had volunteered to base sit to even the game. Not because I was afk. It's not my fault when he didn't read the chat when I said I'd be the one to base sit after they (the other team) wanted us to sit one.

Is that clearer?

So the comm didn't ask anyone to sit, you just decided to sit yourself on your own? Sounds like the comm didn't actually want you sitting in the first place, didn't know you were sitting, and you weren't paying enough attention to explain yourself when the comm started screaming at people for not launching?

If they were up one, why were you sitting??? And even if your team was up one, unless the game size is really that small so a single player can impact the game, you shouldnt be sitting.

K everybody cool the $#@! down.
Raum, while I can understand your opinion, I do not agree with it 100%
I've been booted countless times during my "newbie i'm $#@!ing clueless as to what i need to do."
99.5% of those boots were right cause I $#@!ed something up.
You are now proposing to police the booting function, or remove it altogether.
I strongly disagree.
Boots are a teaching tool.
Besides wherever we wish to admit it or not, every commander has a "boot on sight list"-
Furthermore since you are an enforcer yourself, if you feel there has been an injustice/roc violation, you should take it with paps and he'll act accordingly.
QUOTE ^cashto@Elem (all): yeah, i imagine if you're rusty, you could build op short for no reason, build a naked ref, then go two techpaths even though your mining is by all objective standards $#@!ed[/quote]

It's interesting that in most communities at least half the posts in this thread would have resulted in administrative action for personal attacks, here people goad each other to more.

The community dies for many reasons, but the most important is a lack of comradery and respect for each other, this place is such a vomitious pit of hate.

As for boots, they are an important part of the game, one that also has helped cause the community to die for both legitimate use and griefing.

The only solution, time travel 10+ years and fix booth those issues, everything else is just lipstick on a pig.

Still a great game, even with so many faults.

1. I do not have a tag
2. I wasn't mad about it because he lost anyways...he only hurt his chances of winning by going down 1
3. Instead of volunteering to sit when both comms agree...I'll just log out next time.
4. Thanks Freyja for saying that for me. :)

Yup no camaraderie in this community at all, which is why I've had a beer with at least two members of the community, one has gotten me a job, and three of whom I consistently play other games with. Also one of whom I met when I happened to be all the bloody way across the country, which was fun. Also I played badminton with another.
