Activision may be many things, but they brought us Mech Warrior on the PC
... which I thought this thread was all about. Goshdurnit can a man be so wrong???
Vote Mech Warrior 2 for best opening movie of many a game.
Likewise Longbow 2 for absolutely CRACKING guitar work by "Stretch".

I miss the original BFVCamaro wrote:QUOTE (Camaro @ Jun 1 2011, 09:35 PM) Is it going to take 10 bullets to kill someone in BF3?
That was always my biggest gripe about the series. Other than Battlefield Vietnam, it took so god damn many bullets to kill someone.
Despite the bad press I thought it was coolest game in the series. Just needs to be spruced up with medics/support and better graphics.

Bones heal. Chicks dig scars. Pain is Temporary. Allegiance is forever.
BFV was easily the best in the series.
The MiG-17 was fun as hell to fly. Guns killed in about 2-3 shots. The Revolver killed in 1 well placed shot. You could use an 1891/30 sniper rifle. The M16's were A1 variants and thus full auto... and on some jungle maps the Americans got medic kits (which was kinda unfair).
But the best part... the best part of all... was that all most of the ejection ports on the guns were on the wrong side of the gun (ejecting brass AT you as a rightie).

Nah, the worst part in BF Vietnam was thinking you were covered in foilage then realizing it didn't render for an enemy more than 30 ft away
1942 was awesomely entertaining. I liked the realism mod, but you could only tweak in so much realism in a game like that and it never really was real popular. Crete (on the mod) was ridiculous, the Allies had nothing but static defenses to kill the Axis forces

I'll see your COD & Battlefield 3 and raise you Armageddon
