Also, girly, your explanation would be a lot easier if you would use local pressure instead of 'space-time' to damage ships. Far from the asteroid field cores of sectors, space becomes less-together and at significantly lower pressue, which takes its toll on ships which are designed to operate within sectors.

That does seem much more elegant, yes.
I just felt there would be something inherently awesome about reality itself breaking down around your ship, damaging it.

Yes, but reality breaking down is more of a 1/0 thing rather than a 'YOU'RE TAKING DAMAGE' kind of thing

But geez, you know when you have a good gaming community when, instead of running around the game shouting at noobs and thinking they're God, the gamers are discussing their theories on why the game has implemented the physics engine it has, etc. Talk about commitment. ^_^

I was totally expecting something different from the topic line. More platform shoes and giant wigs, less physics.
