whoosh

The sound of the point flying over cashto's head.

Djole88 wrote:QUOTE (Djole88 @ Dec 16 2014, 06:03 PM) Drizzo is wrong. In a PUG you are either playing with the stack, which makes irrelevant what you do, or against it, which still makes irrelevant what you do.
isolated it for you

I don't see anyone calling you a stacker in what you excerpted.

Oh, did you mean something along these lines?
Doc Izzo wrote:QUOTE (Doc Izzo @ Dec 16 2014, 04:00 PM) You know I've got a long history of anti stacking my teams and winning hopeless games as commander
(without the bolded words, what you said sounds a lot like "I jump on other people's teams and help them win")

In order for me to have any credibility in what I said, those things are implied. Why else would I dole out advice like that?

And again with you thinking I'm talking about stacking, I'm not spamming my strafe like fragztack so I don't see how you're missing the point by such a large margin.

Wait, you mean I should presume good faith and interpret words the most charitable way possible? Get the $#@! out of here, you heretic. This is Allegiance.

Driz:
1) I don't consider you a stacker
2) In a typical PUG who wins is determined by what kind of stack he has. Only if the teams are remotely balanced does he get a say in the flow of the game, which is rarely the case
3) Are you so blind not to see that when you take over or just join another team there is like 10 vets in NOAT waking up to join and help you?
4) Your flying skills are not very admirable (despite the legend) so accusing anyone of doing anything out of the ordinary when defeating you is not very plausible. I know for a fact that frag has superior aim compared to you.

You are required to do nothing, least of all believe. I talk a lot of @#(! but in terms of how this game works I'm seldom wrong.

Commanding in Allegiance can be as much Poker as it is Starcraft. Observant people will take note of what you're likely to do and punish you for it.

Wins against the stack are hard. See, what wins against the stack requires is teamwork. Teamwork wins games. Winning raises your rank. The difference between teamwork, listening to the commander, and putting out good probes while also giving sound strategic and tactical advice is the difference between, say, a 12 who's a decent whore and a 14 who can't aim to save his life.

QUOTE 3) Are you so blind not to see that when you take over or just join another team there is like 10 vets in NOAT waking up to join and help you?
There's probably a reason for it.

QUOTE 4) Your flying skills are not very admirable (despite the legend) so accusing anyone of doing anything out of the ordinary when defeating you is not very plausible. I know for a fact that frag has superior aim compared to you.
Ok few things.

First, Frag doing "special" things with his sidethrusters isn't exactly news. Hint: Sheff does it too. I'm not going to go so far as to say it's cheating because a) it's unenforceable and b) I come from a tradition where non-game-breaking-bugs (and this is hardly game breaking) are totes ok. But to pretend like this non-standard strafe button usage thing isn't actually going on is a bit silly.

Second, his flying skills aren't admirable? I don't mean to be rude but there's a tiny handful of people in Allegiance right now that I would say could take him in a straight up int v int fight, with or without strafe abuse. He does that while flying one game a week. And by "flying" we mean "commanding."
