Ok, image bmp.mdl s are the simplest. Having them in the /artwork/textures should override the ones in /artwork, but replacing the originals should also do fine. If the originals are gone but still showing then I would assume that they are in the texture auto generated pack file (you don't have the development artwork sub folder in the artwork directory do you? because that overrides the /textures folder, and if the originals were in there for some reason then they would show still).BUSHBAM wrote:QUOTE (BUSHBAM @ May 31 2012, 02:10 AM) These are large/big, 'like 8Mb" bmp.mdl enviroment files. The originals were like 123kb bmp.mdl files which i delete to replace with the high res "8MB" ones. The high res files comes with an installer that places the files in the allegiance textures folder. But the game did not seem to use them or know they were there even when i use the texture setting "Graphics section" in the game. So i copied the files from the textures folder and paste them in the allegiance art works folder getting rid of the old originals there but still there was no change. don' t know what to do now.![]()
Am I right in thinking that allegiance will re-generate the texture pack if it is set to use it but it is not found? If so try deleting the texture pack file (or just rename it to play it safe) and allegiance should sort it's self out next time it is launched.
If that doesn't work then I'd consider checking in the registry what the allegiance art paths are set as. This is assuming you do only have one allegiance install on your computer and you're not putting the new artwork in an unused install
You could check what the target location of the shortcut link (desktop / start menu) you use to launch asgs is too.
