Allegiance is NOT dying! It is merely going through a period of evolution.
The wheat is being separated from the chaff.
Just chant 'the power of Pook compels you', fly in circles 10 times and then pod your self on a rock as a sacrificial offering to the gods of pew pew, dakakaka and BASE CAPTURED!
Hopefully this will make it rain newbie's who play for more than a few games and and love to follow orders. Blessed are the turret gunners, for they can see all around them.

1. we hear it all the time, Allegiance has a steep learning curve.
what that translates into is, very hard for newbies, very easy for vets.
newbies want people to play with, SOME vets just enjoy playing a game where they get to rack up points against guys who can barely figure out how to swap guns, then make fun of them because of the score.
once a game gets too easy most adults quit playing as the game is no longer challenging, as it is the challenge and learning that makes it fun.
once a game reaches the point where vets blast newbs away repeatedly over and over the newbes don't stay, because it's stupid to just feed the ego of a bully.
Save Allegiance!
Handicap the really experienced players so that first the game is more challenging to them and second less challenging to the newbs.
even the playing field.
we have allowed this to go on too long because the people who are really good at the game don't want to give up their edge, they prefer to play in a football game with a mix of professionals mixed with 5 year olds, so they can say wow am i ever great.
they are killing the game, they don't care, they won't agree to give up any edge, they have argued for years.
how could any decent person feel a fight was fair if the end game score is 100 to 1.
how could it be considered sporting if the end game score is 100 to 1.
if you went to a game and the score was 100 to 1 sure it would have been a funny game maybe, but it would also have been boring and hatefull.
now, talk about these subjects for awhile and watch the Mastas of the world defend their position.

Well my dear sun-dried-rodent, There is a solution to the problem but it is a codeine solution. A kb boost for newbies that is a bit on the silly side.
Rank 0-4 first kill make kb = 25% then make every kill increase kb by 10% until it reaches 75%. That would give newbies an ego boost.
KB is a bloody good feature of Allegiance, but I only really discovered it after playing the game for about 3 months. Primarily because I didn't pod enough pilots to really notice any difference.
