I got ragged on for hacking a lot when I played because we always took host and we had a good team, and I understand people bitching about "hackers". but there really ARE a lot of hackers. Simply look at all the 11th prestige kids running around to see just a small sampling of the people hacking that game. I have seen some fantastically hacked things in MW2 for Xbox
a handgun with the firepower of a sniper rifle and the accuracy and reload of an SMG which we spent all game hunting the kid for, killing him for it and then using it against him (he ragequit once half our team had his little toy and raped him with it over and over)
a gun with a heartbeat sensor that detected you no matter what
and a thermal scope that saw you even if you were perked against thermal
several fantastic aimbots, the good ones usually pair with a sniper rifle so it looks like they are quick-scoping and not aimbots
all of these things and more I have seen over and over. the latest round of modded weapon hacks was the end for me. I got tired of stealing their guns to even the playing field. the hacks are real, they are nasty, and they are a pain in the ass. the only half way decent thing is that almost all of the hackers suck at MW2 anyway, so once you adapt to their particular hack you can slaughter them regardless.
