As one of the people in the Allegiance Beta said, it isn't unbalanced until people think it is. You, HSharp, may not try to take advantage of this, however, I can almost guarantee you that some player who just wants to win will.

I'd take advantage of it, but I'm too lazy. >_>

Though I suspect laziness will be an excellent defence from this exploit in general. :P

Where the $#@! did I say I wasn't going to take advantage of this?

I've been using this the second I found out, then posted it here a few days later, it's only an unfair advantage if other people are too stupid not to use it, it would have been an unfair advantage if I didn't reveal the secret because it isn't that obvious as opposed to He3 drain and seeing build spheres but im a nice guy so I post here to level the playing field a bit.

I've been using this to get my team to rush techcons (sometimes unsuccesfully because team doesn't believe me :glare: ) and @#(!.

Worse than being able to see uneyed asteroids getting built on

This exploit can't determine location... can it? That would be bad

All these bugs and exploits should be features. 'Spy Tech' or something.

No, it does not. It (basically) only tells you what it is.

And I quote:
HSharp wrote:QUOTE (HSharp @ Apr 19 2009, 07:02 PM) ....I can still see what techcon he buys so I know what i'm up against, and if the map is scouted out I can get a good idea of where the tech con can be planted and send out a team to rush it....

A quick search of trac reveals that Xynth fixed it.

Damn you Hsharp only the 1337s should know of this!

you traitor!

On a serious note we really shouldn't be posting an critical exploit so openly. This should have been done via an PM or something to the Dev lead (if we have one).
