Adept you are complety wrong.
We have to translate everything we say to English French German. That are the official EU working languages. If the message is important (e.g. "I need turret gunners NOW!") we also translate into the other 20 official EU languages(+welsh and austrian!)

We don't want any minority to be discriminated only because in their language has only 300 000 native speakers (Malti !).

No the really real, really dokey truth is that all the Borg have special implants which allow them to communicate and act as one when needed. You receive it through the post when you first join.
Only problem is it does require lots of Vaseline as it chafes all the skin around where its implanted...
