Zone Game 28
I thought the game was really fun, actually, and I'd love to do it again sometime.

ZG staff, please read our forum.. a lot of things messed up but for the good of the community is was pushed forward (we would've pissed off SysX and PK if we didn't do it tbh) It's explain what caused it to happen there.
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

Except the big about dorjan being jelly, that's just spidey's ego.

I dunno about PK, but I had no idea about the event whatsoever, I don't think we would have been pissed off if this was delayed as well, imo its better to take your time then do a rush job even if you have to delay the release date, just like many game developers(and publishers) if they spent a few more weeks on development then rushing the release they could make great games.
Big alephs were weird and interesting.
I'm sure they gave Fingerbang lots of room to hide.

I thought of this event more on the lines of a gig than developing a game.
Imagine you are a band. You turn up to a gig all psyched up and ready to go, all your gear and traveled some way to be told "Sorry it's not this week but next. Our bad, we didn't tell you!". You say "ahh fair enough. We'll come back then."
Then you realise that the bass player got today off of work and was put on the rota for next week in exchange, the drummer has made plans with his girlfriend and has non-refundable tickets to a hotel. Now these people either piss of thier boss / girlfriends or this manager who just shat on them.

The game was interesting. A little frustrating but interesting. The alephs were interesting too, yet, occuping so much space, made every sector look small and crowded. A strange feeling that I wouldnt suggest having next time.
We had an awesome cdt delta wing too (guys sry about having everyone on the right and ready to scramble in there, i feel it was the right thing to do under these circumstances, there wasnt much to do in the mayhem
)
All in all, very interesting idea. Next time, If people try to think of it more like a performance and not an actual game, and iwith better preparation, it will rock.

The game certainly was an interesting one. Apart from the borked alephs (ROFL Adam), I still believe that there are numerous unaddressed issues when it comes to balancing >2 teamers. During the early phases of the game it appeared that the 'spaced police' (yeah - they smoked the stash) were attacking Blue. This allowed Aarm to expand unhindered - something he is famous for taking advantage of.
When it all boiled down to the metal, there really is little one can do when faced with a 2:1 contest. When purple allied with Blue, all they did was kill random Yellow TPs and refs in what I can only assume were backsectors. Nothing changed map-wise from our perspective. In essence I think this will go down in the annals of Alleg as yet another interesting, albeit somewhat ill-conceived idea.
Just look what happened to Purple when Blue and Yellow decided they'd had enough. Annihilation in a matter of minutes.
If you're intending to repeat the multi-team idea, please ensure that you at least provide for a balanced game for the entire duration of the game. Having a third roving team is beset by the standard set of human frailties when it comes to deciding who to attack. I doubt anyone other than people like Aarm or Spidey are capable of directing a hypothetical third team to maintain a balance between the remaining two teams.
Oh... and this IS NOT a roleplay game. If you want that, go play WoW.

Purple wasn't supposed to make serious harm to either team, nor we were (really) allied with blue.
We had SBs aligned to yellow's SY way before yellow decided to roll on us, but Dorjan told the pilot to stay there and not go. We killed unimportant stuff on purpose. Our objective was just being a PITA, iirc.
I was pretty confused by the way, so this post may contain meaningless babbling.

I love the concept, but how about we have an explanation of each teams overall role in the event zone post. I didn't really understand at first how we wre supposed to attack a certain group once, and then later another group later. Like I said before, great concept, but needs a bit more prepartation and explanation in the execution.
