Learning to command during a pickup game when you aren't already a highly competent pilot is going to ruin the fun for everyone who has to fly for you. Why should everyone else have to suffer so randomSuckyVoob can "learn the commanding ropes" ?

Mutiny can only pass with majority vote. If the majority of your team don't want you in the command chair, you shouldn't be there. It's just that simple.

You can play whenever you want, but commanding is a privilege not a right around here.
So, have we set a helo limit to determines if the commander 'knows the ropes' before he commands in PU games?

I think there are loads of commanders in the rough that just need a chance to kick some (*&(*$@#, and don't need some (10) - (16) preplanning to oust them for no good reason just to show off the #mutiny skills and no commanding skills.

How many times have you seen a game sit for fifteen minutes with one commander short only to have a (8) step up to be mutined by 5 or 6 voobs who joined just to mutiny or one voob and a number of noobs who don't know what they are doing say yes to the mutiny?

You have a few minutes before the game is recorded... give some advice to the com, see what he/she buys, then mutiny if need be.

Privilege has a tendency to be ingrown.

Correct wrote:QUOTE (Correct @ Oct 27 2008, 02:38 PM) I can see it as abusive if they are being booted, but your suggestion is that all mutinies should be announced so the comm can boot everyone seems like a stupid idea.
Sorry, didn't mean to tell the person you are going to mutiny them. Just give 'adequate' warning that they shouldn't command. One guy that was mutinied only had 'Make me commander' by one of his teammates prior to being mutinied. I'm not sure what private chat was going on, but this was all that was spoken over all chat.

for those who havent been playing a long time, we would rather relax from the last game a little, and wait for a good comm to step up, then have to fly for a pair of RETARDS who couldn't wait.

If you WAIT, good comms will step up

if you DONT WAIT, good comms will step up to mutiny you.

Move this thread to rants, because thats what its really about

more often the case, at least in late night games, the newbie comm is more than willing to give up the chair to more experienced comm, esp if he feels that that there is a big difference in rep/skill as compared to the opposing commander.

though i'm a newbie commander/pilot myself, i've tried to dissuade even newer comms from taking the chair in the main game by pulling them aside and creating side games where they can get a taste of what it is like. often, they see it is a lot more fun just piloting the whole game than have to play both rts and fps at the same time.

Never. Noobs abstain and voobs are too stupid to mutiny.

you have to have vets to get a mutiny to pass
