In a game vs Cable i placed AC and SC towers around my techbases to defend against SBs. Worked very good since the towers shot down the ABs when the SBs werent in range. I lost that game but they definatly made me last longer.

6 SC towers on green doors can be devastating to enemy htt runs as well.

hey i seen a pod save a base by hitting the last AB on a run!
so why cant a missile kill it?!?!?!

err.... have you ever actually saw an SC tower? and by this i mean, if you have tried to kill it with missiles, you would not ask this question (they shoot missiles and take them down with 2-3 shots. i doubt an SC tower can be killed with them).

You can kill a SC tower with missiles, but usually you'll be using something useless like QF though (unless you got QL dumbs or something). Also a good half of them or more won't make it /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":doh:" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

the SC tower also has like 500-800 hp (or reduct as to make it last like that under gatt fire, never tried with an int)

edit: well, not 500-800 hp, but some equally stupid hull that makes it necessary at least 3 or 4 missiles (even dumbs 2 or 3) to kill it. do the math

Too bad the run got stopped anyway.

The hell they can't. Try locking an AB with a qf.

They don't. Missiles that are fired at another missile fly strait.
