More then likely... I'm old.

Still, if GC is constantly flushing would that not also equate with hostaging... I suppose it's all subjective.

With the ability to create your own games now I'm not sure hostaging could be called if all the commander is doing is trying to get an even game going. Particularly if no one else is stepping up to command.

Big difference in having AA on before and after a game starts. I normally keep it off and try and even things out before a game starts, but worrying about that @#(! and keeping the teams balanced when the game is rolling is often something that takes the back seat when I'm commanding. I usually wind up paying for it either way, either missing something subtle but important when im balancing or paying for #AA=1 when I look at the end game stats. Personally, I hate to turn this a helo rant, but that's why I try to stick to ~20 ppl game or less when I com.

Now since I've added to the derailment I'm gonna have to stick to looking a way to right this train. Their has been a "Newbie Coms Welcome" game hoster who has been setting the sides a wee bit too much in his favor, then bailing out and dropping com when things *ahem* fail to go his way. I think I've helped spoil at least three of his plots... hahaha.

I agree to Auto and AA but there Really REALLY should be a limit on how many MORE players the ELO should allow. 10 player of rank 10 for a elo of 100 vs 15 players with a elo of 99 would be tough to beat. If a 18 wants to join he would HAve to join the 99 and that would be really tough 16 vs 10 not sure if that could be won at all. Unless the 6 extra are all 0's there is no way the small team could win. Need to limited imbal as well as ELO perhaps to 4 at most

LOL Ryj, you have to play in the wee hours more /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Just for @#(!s I used to play these insane imb games with some guys when the (mostly) newb players on the server felt like it.

- 2 vets vs 10 newbs (vets win 99% of the time) (yeah OK I stack settings in my favour but hey ..... /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> )
- 3 or 4 vets vs 12-15 newbs (vets win 80% of the time)

It's amazing what a small vet team with a comm who knows how to stack settings and play these kind of games can do /mrgreen.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="mrgreen.gif" /> My personal best is winning a 2 vs 14 (without capships of course /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> ) these games leave you with sweaty palms but are immense fun (yeah and nice getting 80+ kills and 45+kb too /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> ). You gotta love it when you stop a 4 nan bomb run by yourself (OK i had some help from a gazillion towers /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> ) while your teammate uses his 40+ KB to AB3-SB their bases /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Yes that is awesome grim but seems to me I got banned for doing just that:( Best game ive play was 8vs2 with ry1 and 8 noobs(none over a 2) we was owning until IronSeed(ascalonRift) joined he was enough to make the diff for them. But we still almost pulled it off.

But my point was in the main server games not late night when there are only 20 or so people on. Im sorry I missed those games with you but I do have a live other then Alleg:) So I do have to sleep sometimes:)

I was talking more about main games when some coms wont accept anyone with a number to prevent a stack with autobal on

funny thing is...

Ramadamadingdong almost got a pic post her for bashing the @#(! out of a newer comms. You no the deal, 2-1 HELO and double the vets action. It WAS inside the rules since the word newb or newbie was nowhere to be seen. Ironseed was in NOAT, * wild clapping * for him

I think that the community should give the Squad which Byou represents a collective punishment for being losers.
I demand that each member of the squad wear a chicken costume for the rest of the year...

PS: this message could start a epic flame war, but i think its only fair... what else can we do?
