Miner modes of operation
ya brood i think the dogbone edits for experimental mode were slightly messed up (i remember it so at one point anyways)
regardless
hsharp has a good point, anyone on your team should be able to toggle bIdle with "Stay Docked" or by ordering them out of base, not just the leader, right?
[lol]
edit: sounds like dogbones has volunteered to fix experimental mode sticking (and include in Esc+I info, if not already) and because this (yes, the original topic) will be so easy for him it will be in R5.
/me pokes dogbones
i vowed never to say something is easy when it comes to changing the allegiance source
regardless

These bugs haven't been fixed yet because don't have any developers interested in fixing them up. --Tigereye

There's also the opposite of miners who will launch when they shouldn't, I've seen miners that wouldn't launch when I wanted them. It was a few years ago, but I remember a game in which I was comm where a cruiser was attacking one of my outpost. We had miners in the sector, but since we eyed the cruiser a long time before he entered, I had given them an order to go elsewhere. When the cruiser entered(like 6/7k away from the op), the miners got scared and instead of continuing to run to the other sector, they docked at the outpost. This part was probably my fault. But when the cruiser got at like 4k from the op, I noticed that the miners weren't in the sector they were supposed to be in and I noticed that they were in the op. I've spammed launch orders, but the miners never listened. They stayed in the outpost untill the cruiser killed it. So my guess is that if there's a capital ship in a sector and no defenders, the miners will ignore any launch orders if they're docked, which will usually cause them to get killed needlessly. That's something i'd like to see fixed as well.
yea it's changed somewhat, which is why I'm sticking to focusing on the one item: "Stay Docked"
