It's tech price costs that i'm talking about, not the miner capcity. That was changed. Read everything Deng before you try and prove me wrong.
And as for probes and scouts, lets look closely there. Even if you do see it ahead of time, you have bombers bought and your already got your run flying fully naned (How often is that?) What are the chances you go in uneyed and comepletely unmined?
Statsitcally its few and far between. THats what i'm saying.

I'm not necessarily going to recommend nerfing belters. What does concern me is that there are many comms who just sigh or get frustrated when they see the enemy as belters and predict tac. From that point it becomes a sort-of uphill battle. The first milestone is killing the tac before adv. If you got the tac before they even got SFs, great work, you charged up the hill; if not, then keep fighting because the belter econ just makes that hill steeper for your team.
No one's saying you can't win against belters tac. From a morale perspective, it's hard to get a normal bomb run going against scout-killing LRM3s. When your team doesn't want to bomb-run, when every TP2 scout gets spotted and LRM3ed, when HTTing is near worthless because they have tech-base spammed, when you have no money for anything except paydaying a miner which you won't launch because they are still tac... it's a hard place.
It's still win-able of course, maybe you went tac and picked up their tech saving you some $$$, maybe your tac wars have put it at a stalemate, maybe you pulled some teamwork-stacked strategy out of you *&^%% like the carrier bombing in this game... it's just rarer and harder. It's what makes Allegiance awesome when it happens though, and makes the other comm have an anurism because their team "couldn't SB at all" (meaning they tried but not fast or hard enough).
To close, even though IC sup lost against belters tac, it was a great game. Best;
Ty.

That is not relevant to this discussion. Simply because it affects all factions, some of which benefit even more than Belters (for instance, Bios got the shaft with this change (as Snack remarked a while back on the DN forum)).
Half price for tac and sup tech is a DN feature (one of the better ones, at that). Don't like it? Don't play DN.

The core developer does not need to compensate for the skills (or lack thereof) of the team.

While Belters run a smooth economy, their ships suck. I lost quite a few games as commander, simply because people were unable to brake at the right point, counter thrust when needed, sliding into alephs, because they underestimated the mass. It is a different kind of balance.
I would not worry about the 55% win ratio, I would worry about the other factions:
Iron Coalition 40%
Bios 36%
Phoenix 26%

Half price tech does affect all factions, but Belters seem to get the best out of it. Before the change you had to spend a decent amount of money for a single piece of equipment, however this was offset by the cheap ship cost. That was one of the most problematic things about the faction - you go a tehc path and hope you find all the tech you need. Now you can play belters like any other faction with regards to investing in tech, but due to the insane he3 yeild they have always had you now have extra cash to throw around to expand with the cheap bases and miners. Its simply scary how much tech belts can get on low money settings.
Then again what do I know. I don't command often enough to fully grasp the situation.

First:
Technoflux 54%
Belters 52%
.
.
.
IC 42%
Phoenix 41%
Bios 40%
I don't even know where you got those numbers, Grimmwolf, they aren't accurate for any version of DN.
Second, Gui, if you're going IC vs belts, just plant the op 2k from their home sector and bomb immediately if you don't think you can recover from their tac. Alternatively, exp, pulse probes, lots and lots of intbombing.

Jesus christ. I didn't say I didn't like Ic vs Belts. I just used it as a $#@!ing example. FFs.... I'm going to leave this thread now, since people are reading what i'm saying and are instead just $#@!ing assuming they know what the $#@! they are talking about.
Go shove it Deng.

By-the-by, I believe Belter's tech costs are more expensive than standard, it's only their techbases that are cheaper.
I could be wrong... not likely, but I could...

You're wrong. For example bombers cost 8k, ehc miners/cons cost 2500, etc etc...
