I remember when RT started and they made a concentrated effort to challenge XT to squad games every chance they got. It was painful for them but eventually they improved so much they won a squad tournament. I may not have liked some of the people in RT on a personal level but I respected the squad for taking their lumps and learning from the best when other squads were boycotting us so they wouldn't get wrecked.

And conversely, SF refused to play SysX "until they were ready".

No it was XT that SF refused to play.

They might also have been refusing to play XT for the same reason, I don't remember, but I do remember them boycotting SysX.

I think the boycott on SysX was because SysX made Striker cry.
