i never wanted your negative posts or posting of negative things to be deleted

(unless you are posting an earthquake or something i just look at your posts as negative attitudes, and that is all i was saying. i don't support censorship)

If someone is walking, that doesn't make them a pedestrian?

If they're walk walking on broken glass it makes them eurythmics.

If they are dead, then that makes them a zombie.

Ok, so would Alleg2 be in a persistent Universe, have planets, use mech warriors to take and defend them? Just thinking if ya dreaming, dream big...

Oh yeah, are we really married to the name Allegiance? I just think several of the concepts are neat, but with a simple change of the name you avoid sooooo much hassle. Even if you don't change the gameplay that much. A new engine and a new name is a new game.

I mean the concept of using a command structure is in quite a few games. The flight physics were around prior to alleg, and have been played with a bunch. Good luck, either way I look forward to seeing an new incarnation.

If my js ever works in alleg I'll probably put an hour or two in there.

Which games?

NS2, fine, altough it's limited compared to Alleg. Tribes? No, nobody gives a @#(! about the commander. What else? (Crap doesn't count)

On a related note, the Rogue System story is encouraging. That's just one guy, did *both* code and graphics in his spare time, two years and managed to turn out an early prototype....Granted it's just one ship moving around a station and DM'ing AI ships, but he (apparently) had a whole galaxy simulation and internal ship systems coded as well. That's not bad.

Good luck finding another engine that's as efficient as this one.

Nope. There was some big-dreaming on my part with bullet physics but P32 pimp slapped that pipe dream back to... something that starts with a P to continue this alliteration. Shut up they can't all be winners.

I am not married to the name Allegiance but until I or someone else comes up with something cool and catchy (not like, Space Wars or something dumb as @#(! like that) the project itself is code-named Allegiance2 and a lot of the basics will take on a similar name: Interceptor, Fighter, Stealth Fighter, etc. etc. I anticipate most (if not all) of it will get renamed at some point just to help shy away from MS's IP.

I've already got most of the factions named.

So I've been told. From what I can tell though those other games don't quite have the depth in tech-paths that Allegiance does. I'm going to be taking that a step further by making each techpath feel different in how you research it as well as how you play it.

Not only would PK love to have you back in the fold for our sunday SGs but it'd just be good to have you around in general! I'll be sure to keep you updated on the project!

Purgatory would have been good. Hell, Pennsylvania would have been better than the rambling you left there.
