And it's not like this was a Tom Clansy scenario where the suspect had a suitcase nuke. It seemed like a massive overreactionMrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Apr 22 2013, 02:03 PM) If I ask a cop to come check under the bed for the crazy man then its a-ok
If a cop comes into my house against my wishes to check for the crazy man under the bed it is NOT a-ok.
If the government gives him the right to enter against my wishes it is even worse
how about when you have a terrorist on the loose in your city, with a bunch of more explosives to be used for future events (like this one had), we'll let your cops not "overreact" and have them give up after a couple of hours of searching.Adept wrote:QUOTE (Adept @ Apr 22 2013, 09:30 AM) And it's not like this was a Tom Clansy scenario where the suspect had a suitcase nuke. This sounds ugly if true. My impression was that these were voluntary searches. Also, you should know that police are allowed to search a home without a warrant if they are in hot pursuit of a dangerous fugitive. That probably covers most of the early searches.raumvogel wrote:QUOTE (raumvogel @ Apr 22 2013, 09:31 AM) http://www.storyleak.com/video-shows-home-...-not-voluntary/
