There are reasons for linux but since grub supports multiple OS i see no problem.
I for example don't even use grub. I use virtual PC + linux for programming.
I know how to dual boot. I know how to emerge sys-boot/grub, edit /etc/default/grub and files in /etc/grub.d/, run grub2-mkconfig and grub2-install. I know how to boot from an ISO on the hard drive and chroot into my install. Etc etc etc
Believe it or not, it's actually a matter of not wanting to use Windows or wasting my hard drive space.

When I logged on between :05 to :15 after sg time I saw
5 @ni
3 @bs
2 @sf
2 @ sysx
And a few mec and 1 pk
Then I logged off
Merge all squads into 2 and hope that works

make interesting SGs and maybe more people will turn up. also play on a server that doesn't lag for 80% of americans and maybe more people will turn up.

Did you log on as I hider? As I was sitting in lobby and never saw you.
The 2 SF members, one being an ASL, that were on-line had no idea there was supposed to be a BSF V SysX game
FYI: there were 8 SysX on-line and I can list them if you like.
So what are you actively doing to merge your squad with SF/MEC/PK? Have you sent out any recent PMs to the current squad leaders?
What are any of the other SLs & ASLs doing to merge their squad, disband their squad, recruit new members or increase their squad's participation?

2 PK, C101 and myself. However I couldn't get CortUI to work, got fed up and quit. Pretty sure I just need to reinstall and retry... I'll get on that this week.
