Probably the best plan. :P

I'm no statistician, but I was in on some of the early, early stuff involving AllegSkill and most of the forum discussions you're refferring to made *me* want to /headdesk with the rampant ignorance that was being spewed so MrChaos and Sgt_Baker must have been going absolutely mental. XD

I am a FIFO entrepreneur, First In First Out

First put Alleg playerbase in shape, once we achieve that...

You can for example:

Second, whine about skill, sidelamps in your pod or whatever...

If we HAVE a thriving game, we can talk about anything you want to better it, but we have to have that game up and running first.
.
.
.
.
.

I hope, in all my innocence, THIS MESSAGE GETS THROUGH.

ALLEGIANCE PLAYERBASE UP? do whatever you want except frighten noobs

ALLEGIANCE PLAYERBASE NOT UP? move it and this is now our first concern, everything else is second compared to this.

(Just a kindhearted suggestion)

We all did it at PK, if it wasn't for the good work of Camaro, Finger and all my other mates helping with this we wouldn't have achieved a thing, and all the squadmates that show up to SG's is Camaro's work and their personal effort, we have one squadmate that has to ask his boss for a schedule change in order to show up for SG's, that's unpayable and anything I would do would feel like nothing in comparison to that.

Now we are reorganizing... there's a lot of work to do and we still want back our other missing mates, even our ex-PK's, we want them all back to make meat of all the other squads in short...

Even you, if you ever want to take some time from Xtickling madness, would be considered by PK and supported by me, you know we care for kind souls, and you are one.

that's a rather generous offer that i am forced to decline

i will pass it on to dome, though, as i am sure he will be excited to know that he can go home

Dome? I thought he was happy at XT, anyway I haven't looked closely to the squad roster, but XT has like more than 10 ex-PK's right now among its ranks IIRC.

PK wants them all back, NOW.

What brings us to the next point once we achieve the first goal of improving our playerbase...

A Pact, a Honour & Steel Pact between all SL/ASL's not to actively or pasively pursue squaded pilots.

If a pilot wants to go squadhopping it's a matter of personal liberty, anyone can see he was mistaken in join anywhere and pursue a change.

And I would say that this pact be enforced with something that hurts the tresspassing squad, what would it be? no SG's in a month for example for each squaded pilot approached furtively.

The origin of this idea is old and presently simple, if we want Allegiance to thrive we need strong squads, all of them, to be competitive every SG must be fought to death and be really difficult to win, we can only arrive there if every squad is strong...

I don't want PK again grinding to dust every other squad like in 2008 when there was a point noone wanted SG's with us, I want all squads strong, it's funnier and it's as it should be.

We are a nice bunch at Alleg and understandably we look after our own, our own friends, our own squad, our own playerskill etc...

But we are also rational, we are human beings, not jungle tigers, problem is tigers do it better than us, they catch the old deers and oxes, some cubs and small game, but they keep their ecosystem alive by letting all the other species thrive... they allow the others to grow and survive, even if to eat them afterwards but with a long run approach, life is a marathon.

I want Allegiance to be my marathon runner game for all the years we can play it, I love it the same you all do, we could make this pact out of love for Allegiance and in the long run, that love will revert back to us, I am sure we would enjoy its feedback sooner than later if we make this pact and abide by it honestly.

This is an interesting idea. We have talked about balancing many things, but not squads, yet.
