Not without flaws, he's getting work done
My serious vote on the most skilled player has to be between Weed and Spidey, for obvious reasons. Masters of their own craft.

My vote would be between Weed and Aarmstrong.
Spidey would get the nod if we were looking at commanders but IIRC he was a pretty good SF whore but that was about it. Best commanders for me would be between Aarm and Spidey.
After Weed and Aarm, the next on this particular list would probably be Brood, then P32, then Vogue, then Spidey, then Dome.
Never got to play with Grey_Slayer, unfortunately. I do remember one game where we had like 5 cadets hunting down Weedman and Xeretov just cleaned us up one after another.

Weed, 100%. Nobody else could tip a game just by showing up quite so consistently.
