I went 3-2 tonight with 2 of those wins coming vs firestorm and being sub 10 minute games.
The last one was pretty lulzy as my team couldn't defend against bomb runs with gat3/df3 lxy figs. Then the server dumped half the game to the desktop.
Of my losses one was a stackfest where I got a fairly screwed on rocks :-( I could've switched to sup sooner but I hate IC sup so goddamn much. It's a shame really because I feel like IC should have a decent sup, but the hitboxes on those figs are just such a letdown. Normally flying figs feels like your'e flying an over-glorified Cheeto, but IC figs are $#@!ing Cheetos Puffs: all of the orange on your hand, none of the satisfying "crunch."
The other one was a TF loss which was painful because Dome got a little lucky at the start and then I made a crucial mining error. I'm not so fussed about that one though because tbh I'm awful at commanding TF and very uncomfortable doing it. That's why I com TF: I want to get better. Aside from their atrocious expanding they're a very powerful faction and I enjoy flying them very much.
(SERIOUSLY their cons are SO $#@!ING SLOW it drives me crazy!)
I'm also pretty bad at IC but I don't actually want to learn IC because I think outside of some corner matchups (they're decent against Belters and good against GT) they're just a bad faction. 120s con time is such a pita to deal with. They used to be absurd because every game was 10v10 or larger and in those games galvs are `ys and basically mean you can't have small bases vs sup teams... unless you're IC. Sadly the playerbase has thinned out considerably (which means we don't get to use fun little maps like Sapphire anymore).
I definitely need to tighten up my commanding though. If anyone has some good advise for TF I'd love to hear it.
If FBD needs to "talk about it" ( = phoenix having to be nice to Masta) with "he" (= raum i.e. you as an internet persona) "is availible 24/7"(= a friendly ear like a rape counselor to get FBD (phoenix) past the tramatic event in his life) = [joke]
if you cannot handle the idea that I misspell words like "available" once in awhile and occasionally words get brain typed rather than finger typed then you may want to just block me.
