Hi LA Cajun,

First, thanks for your patience!!

Next, can you please download this: http://acss.alleg.net/downloads/debugsupport.zip

Next, extract it to c:\DebugSupport

Then, run c:\DebugSupport\CrashDumpActivate.bat as Admin.

Next, run allegiance and get it to crash. A dialog window should appear about "Searching for solution for your problem". Let that chug for a while, then you should see a window that Allegiance has stopped. You should a new option on the window called "Debug". Click Debug, and a mini-dump file will be generated into c:\DebugSupport\minidump.dmp.

Send that sucker to me, and I should be able to fix what ever it is. ;)

I'll PM you my email.

I've tested this out on win2k8 (which is vista core) and win7 x64, so finger crossed this works for you!

When you are done, you can run CrashDumpDeactivate.bat to restore your previous debugger settings. If you didn't have a debugger installed previously, then you can keep procdump, it's really handy and in this config doesn't run unless you have something crash and you choose to debug it.

Thanks,
-BT

Hi Fire, yes, please do!

I'll PM you my mail.

Also, I just put up a fix for a different issue onto beta. I also pointed beta into the main lobby (we'll see how this works out).

Basically you can pick if you want to run the beta allegiance or production allegiance from the launcher and still play with everyone running the production version.

So, give that one a whirl too! Just let me know which version generated the mini dump you are sending so I can keep track. ;)

Thanks!

Spunk suggested some registry editing, but no luck. Does anyone else have any ideas?

Could my multiple installations of Allegiance be causing this? Would it help if I uninstalled allegiance and cleared out my registry before reinstalling?

The registry edit is not going to help you with the problem. It's just so you can get to the old beta lobby with the new Exe I sent you in the first PM (since you won't be able to access the main lobby with it). Did you run the new exe?

Oh, I misunderstood. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks.

Okay, I tried that, but I got the same results as before. I made a debug report with the program Backtrack sent me, and I can send it to anyone who's interested.

I think at this point I'm just going to try to uninstall everything, clean the registry of everything alleg, and then reinstall.
