IC vs Rix? Well that story's already written chummer. The Rixians crushed the IC, stole all the hot women, mined out Sol and threw everyone else into a giant space dumpster.

Ascension, brothers.

Not to rain on your parade but...

I think we seriously need to think about this kind of scheduled game as routine rather than exception. What I'm saying is we need a wider focus for scheduled games rather than putting a lot of effort into just a few games.

Leaderboard is at 215 (down from 300 only 5 months ago) and end of the line is not at 0, it's more like at 150. We couldn't get any decent games going this Sunday. Right now there are 7 players online, god knows how many if any are playing.

We need to setup times for public games, maybe schedule three times a week, two timed 1 hour games at a time back to back and sign up commanders ahead of the time.

Otherwise we are pretty $#@!ed. We can't even do basic stuff like get a mass email out or open the forums up - numbers are not going up.

Want bigger games? Log on to play at the official game time: 9pmET/8pmCT/7pmMT/6pmPT every day of the week. Also Saturdays 8pm UTC.

I already stated that this would be every other Saturday game, if that is what you meant by routine. I don't mind if the first few games are smallish, since I just want to get the ball rolling. I think it is senseless to wait for more people to come for something that is made to attract people. And for timing it going to be between 20:00-22:00 UTC, I will run a poll on this in next two week after I have got the base stuff down.

Your suggestion for three games a week is valid, but I don't see what that has to do with the even I am planning. And if we can't get a mass email out from alleg than maybe we can send mass email out through squads, and I know squad can send mass emails I have received them before. Finally, I am confident that we will find game commander for this as the past few weeks I have seen 3-4 individuals who always steps up to comm besides me. And I am definitely up for commanding of these games.

IIRC there must be some old custom made maps lying around somewhere. They were much fun to play since know one was supposed to know them beforehand (read: public secret). You could change the maps depending on the outcome of the previous game. E.g. if "blue" loses the first game, the second game makes it easier for "blue" to play.

I can do a lot of shenanigans with custom maps. And custom cores. Hell, custom special models aren't out either

Not much except: you are going to put a lot of effort into organizing this - I was suggesting you may consider getting smaller (as in, perhaps not as big a production with custom maps, storylines etc) but more frequent scheduled games going instead since a lot of the effort overlaps.

If not you, someone has to...otherwise we are closing up shop pretty damn soon.
