Slight QQ about the release here.

How is early access going to work? I preordered the game but I assume early access will mean I have to download it before the release date for plebs.

If this is the case then isn't the disk I'm getting sorta redundant?

Max 5 days before the "official" date, depends on when you redeemed your code. I don't know download details, but at least the beta clients were 20+ GB so hopefully at least a little early.

Have fun with launch, I burnt myself out in beta :P .

See:

STEAM.

Lol yeah, but at least you have a box and manuals and stuff. Early Access is exactly like you stated. I just hope since I have the Beta downloaded, it won't be too hard to d/l the release date client.

1) Umm, not Steam. Origin.
2) Having the beta downloaded in no way helps your download of the retail client. In fact it would only hinder it, taking up hard drive space, etc :P .

I plan on giving it a shot on Sunday in the beta. From what I hear it's just another MMO, but with a crapload of voice acting. Not really what I was hoping for =/ They shoulda just made KOTOR 3!

i think that is the general consensus of everybody. I havent heard a single person who is excited that they made an mmo in the place of a kotor3

The only good part about it being an MMO is it will be relatively easy to keep open-ended, expandable content. Although some of the story is pretty nuts (in an awesome way).

Let me just say that the Jedi Knight storyline is probably one of the most epic in all of Star Wars. In fact, I have been told that most people who beat the end had to glitch to win (in the version I played, doubt the glitch is still there lol).

Played about 30 mins of it so far. It's... OK. I hate newbie quests. I realize that they are necessary, but after playing RPGs my whole life, I get a little tired of boring fetch quests and "kill 10 low level thingie" quests. It's like... can't somebody think of something new?

Go play DDO. It has none of those type of quests.
