What about nerve gas? I hardly ever see that used... Got a shipyard from it once, though

Belter nerve gas (the original nerve gas afaik) is used every once in a while.

one thing i've noticed that isn't being used much.
the IC assault ship with HC/bomber/TT. sneaking an ass to the enemy tech base facing the green door.
rip some low sig nans in. rip a TT in when you get closer. then rip the bomber in.
ok i'm being a little sarcastic here.

tl;dr.
I don't like the idea that each and every tech(path) must be useful and used. So much time is wasted in the CC forum and elsewhere.

QUOTE what if you didn't have enough cash for fig/bs for everyone? Then maybe the turret will be useful? Some people can't escort in ships very well[/quote]
I've been in this situation once or twice before and found the scout to be the tool for the job. In a tp2 drop the enemy will usually not attack the lowly scout nanning the figbee for some odd reason, the result being 1-2 extra abs into the enemy base (1 more from your fb, 1 more from the one that would have been killed after yours died).
and if you're in an advanced scout, you can also slip away and get pickups.

as I said, some people are useless in escort ships.
Also this is one factor: fun.

Something not mentioned yet. GT needs solar inverter for Gauss. Gauss uses a ton of energy and Solar Inverter keeps your energy up at the cost of you being lit up like the freaking sun.

Gauss belongs rather to rarely used than never and is highly motivating. Finally a weapon for low accuracy bastards as me...
