VERY.
I used to do IT work for Architectural Engineering firms and those things are all over the place there. It took me about 10 seconds to master the thing. It's completely intuitive.
What I'm wondering is, is it possible to determine each particular joystick control in the windows control panel, set the axes to those in allegiance and use it that way? It would depend of course on the software and drivers that come with the peripherals themselves, but it's not really doing anything different than a normal joystick, it's just doing it as a palm device with the directions set up in an intuitive manner and since I can tell my joystick's X axis to be the Y or Z if I really feel like it inside of Allegiance, I don't see why, as long as this thing registers as a stick, that it WOULDN'T work.

Bard - I don't think you can do it as it's got it's own weird architecture, but that thing I posted just above your post seems to do what you ask.
I've not got one so can't test whether it works with Alleg. though

Wondering how testing has gone? Have a notepad version of the spacenavigator and currently having trouble getting things to talk to one another. Have used the first of the two configurations below successfully in several games including Descent, another 6DOF game.
Have a space navigator with driver.
Have Carl Kenner's Programmable Input Emulator (PIE) reading the spacenavigator.
Have PID outputting to PPJoy, a virtual joystick driver.
Have windows able to calibrate the virtual joystick but Allegiance doesn't see it.
I have also tried going from the spacenavigator with driver directly to the RBC9 for notebooks; which, in its self, is a virtual joystick driver. Still no love
Any assistance would be appreciated. Plan on trying a USB gamepad when I finally get around to digging one out.
Thanks,
