That doesn't sound exactly like what I'm talking about. The conditions are similar but I don't get a full extra 'free' tank of fuel.
What will happen is my ship will need to reload, but I won't have to yet. I will continue boosting despite my tank reading empty. If I let go of the tab key it will reload immediately but if I hold it I can get a few seconds of boosting in.
It doesn't become magically full, but I can basically boost of nothing for a while after the alepth exit, then it reloads like normally (and uses a fuel from my cargo to reload). I've actually been boosting on 'nothing' with no fuel in my cargo to be used to reload afterwards (so it doesn't sound like this fuel tank full glitch).
That being said, timing my reloads always seemed like too much trouble so I've never really tried to instigate it. I don't remember when it last happened, and I haven't played for a month (and it would have last happened a couple months before that) so I have no idea if it still happens. I can try and instigate it later.
And I've never played on Beta so I couldn't tell ya.
