Get the Logitech G15. The display is really worth the money, especially if you install SirReal's G15 applet. I love it. :) The G19 is way to expensive, the only difference to the G19 is the colour display.

All Logitech's stuff have worked perfectly to me.

As per the keyboard, I use the Sidewinder myself. Personally, I find that having your thrusters mapped to the numpad is highly beneficial (the non-alignment of the normal keys just screws me up) so if you're right handed you'll love to have the numpad in the right spot within easy reach of the rest of the keys.
The feeling of the keys is pretty good too, but I have little to compare it to as this was my first gaming keyboard and my previous "regular" keyboard was simply chopping my fingers off.

Can't help for the mouse selection, I use a stick :)

MX518 is bang for buck. I would have got a G5 if they were in stock

I got the Logitech Illuminated for playing with the lights off. Not bad...bit soft on the keypress for most but perfect for not waking wives, kids :ninja:

All you need is a normal mouse, a normal keyboard, and a good mouse pad.

Also if anything, I wouldnt buy logitech.

You would have to get a engineers degree just to use that R.A.T.

I wouldn't consider the Saitek - I don't know that there will be issues, but if their mouse driver has the same issues as their joystick drivers, then you're gonna find yourself SOL in playing Allegiance until the next release. Just a heads-up.

I have a G19. It is awesome.

If you are looking for something useful, or worth the price, don't buy this. However, if you are a blithering idiot looking for shiney. GET. It is most useful (the screen) in MMOs where it can display delicious stats, AFAIK the screen works with around 60 games or so.

Also for the mouse G5 is out of production, and although you can hunt down one of them, I suggest you go for the G500, very ergonomically comfortable, pretty similar to the G5 (except with a couple more buttons IIRC and scroll options). If you liked the G5 or were looking to get it, I'd say go for the G500, best mouse I've bought.

Any mouse by logitec.
And the standard $10 Dell USB keyboard.

Total cost? $20-30

I have a Razer Lachesis which I love and have nothing bad to say about :iluv:

However, my Razer Lycosa occasionally pisses me off by sticking keys, keys failing, USB port self-ejects, etc
