Amazing joystick. The best one I've owned. (I got mine for about 10)

A PA link to Allegiance is seriously kickass, but I've just spent the past 10 minutes trying to parse the paragraph the link was in.

It's in the last sentence of the 4th paragraph in the first post Tycho made on Feb 5th.

Yeah, I actually would not have bothered to read as far as the allegiance link if I did not know it was there. I didn't read anything after it for sure.

What Tycho is saying here is that Dust 514 - where console owners play an FPS commanded by someone on a PC playing EVE - is an example of the kind of cross-platform gameplay which might actually work. Trying to play Halo on your PC using the mouse against someone playing on the XBOX using the controller just doesn't work that well, which is why we haven't seen many cross-platform offerings. The most common combination of console and PC is just using the PC as a dedicated server, which is boring. What he's suggesting with Allegiance is that you could have PC players acting as commander while console players use XBOX controllers to fly their ships. I assume he means a game similar to Allegiance, not precisely the same game.

Thank you for the translation Compellor, I tried to read the article but … had it been written in Chinese would have possibly made more sense (no, I don’t speak Chinesee) and I ended up ctrl+f to find the link

Btw, I’m ignorant on the matter but … aren’t there consol-like controllers for PC?

Yeah, and I think there are some players here that fly with Xbox360 controllers or the DualShock... the problem is that unless you're relying only on TeamSpeak, you'll have to drop the controller to type, and then pick it up, and then drop it... (Also there might not be enough buttons on the controller for Allegiance).

The point is still that console controllers are not mouse/keyboard equivalents.
