I went to download and install, when it installed it stopped saying "You have newer or equivalent version of direct x"

I downloaded it a month ago, last update 2 months ago

So I auto updated my drivers, and now I can get onto the Allegiance screen without crashing *Yay?*

But then there are like 3 different sizes of allegiance mashed together and switching back and forth.

Looks exactly like Jags (Same graphic card too)

You can try another driver found HERE..

See if you can adjust display scaling on your video adapter to use your displays built in scaling. Some video driver software default the settings to use the drivers scaling instead.

Make sure you install these drivers as Administrator and you can find cleanup tools to wipe out any old drivers prior to install.

Drivercleaner.net is a popular one.

The best technique I've ever used for installing display drivers is to:

1. Install drivercleaner but do not run yet.
2. Download drivers you wish to test.
3. Boot into safe mode / Uninstall old drivers from within control panel.
4. Run drivercleaner while still in safe mode and remove only your video drivers (don't remove any chipset drivers).
5. Boot normally into windows and cancel any "Found new hardware" popups.
6. Install drivers using the setup program you downloaded.
7. Reboot and enjoy.

Won't let me download the driver

That statement isn't helpful. What won't let you download driver? What were you doing, what was the error message?

is it really a driver issue?

I made an account, I tried downloading it but the page won't load. (Before it said I think that it wasn't found)

Edit2: Since all the websites downloads are from versiontracker.com and since it doesn't even work on versiontracker, seems like no luck

Download CPU-Z and install. Goto the Mainboard Tab and post your Manufacturer and Model.

Also download and install GPU-Z and give me the exact Name of the graphics card.

I'll be able to direct you to the exact download you need.

To answer your question, Yes, you do need to reinstall your graphics drivers.

You have an ASUS A7V8X-MX motherboard. It could be a A7V8X-MX SE.

Goto ASUS Download page and on the upper left where it says "Input Model To Search", type in A7V8X and hit Enter.

Now click on the A7V8X-MX link, Select your operating system when you see the pop up and hit the "Select" button.

Click the plus sign next to VGA and download both drivers offered. Unzip the compressed file you downloaded and run the Setup program.

Try the 16.94.18 first and if those don't install properly, try the 16.01.12 instead.
