Interesting stuff...

I note they ask for more tracerts.

I set up a batch file on my machine which was scheduled to collect a tracert and record it in a log file at 1/2 hourly intervals.

If you want I'll start up collecting repeated tracerts to solap again, but I didn't experience any spikes/problems so I'm not sure how much good that will do.

If anyone wants me to show them how to set this up on their machine PM me, especially if you are experiencing problems.

The more tracerts to solap the better......
no need PandaBeardBreeder your in the 92.5% group. The 7.5% should consider asking notJarvis for help. They are listening and interested atm obviously fair, and real data can only help our case.

I have to be up at the latest in 3.5 hours and tomorrow is a bare minimum 12 hour work day. I want to leave everyone with this fact: between the first post and now I have received 5 seperate replies from the provider one for the long term issue acknowledging my reply with the person recommending I continue dealing with the main tech and four dealing with the fact we went off line today and how to prevent it happening again.

Im just way to $#@!ing tired to scrub the tickets.

Night all

I wonder if this is the type of issues Microsoft had when they ran the game?

Lots of people were on dial up then I guess, so they were sort of used to bad connections latency. I mean - if it takes a minute to load some web pages you don't expect lightning fast game playing.
Now people expect lightning fast connections, their tolerance for teething problems appears to be a bit lower.......

You probably had the same sort of people blaming everything on lag though.........

All the above is IMHO of course...

No, their lobby software just crashed and they did not have a reboot switch implemented. Our lobby just restarts itself when it crashes. (as far as I remember)

Damn, how I hated those chats in the techline, 8-9 years ago... "Your lobby is down" - "Have you checked your firewall" - "Your lobby really is down" - "Do you have problems connecting to other games?" - "Your lobby is down, I know that it is, because it goes down nearly every weekend" - "Have you tried disconnecting your modem and reconnecting it?" ............

That's like trying to tell MrC that TAG really has hung again. :P (It sometimes does that when AllSrv loses connection to the lobby. Only way I know of fixing is to reboot the machine)

Please note he is asking for traceroutes

notJarvis if you could can you please post how you took reoccurring trace routes?

Please, this is important, be smart and run trace routes today in the 1400-1630 time frame ESPECIALLY if your experiencing the issue. Let's do this for the next 3 days

Thanks

:iluv:

I'd post my tracerts, but I've never gotten more than 80ms with 0% packet loss on your server. (woo!)
