The newest video is up: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZG2nEJlPOk

Anyone who wants to do the narrating, please read the annotations off the video and then send me the voice files. Don't worry if it's out of sync, I can fix it.

Special thanks to Sono, Kap, and Ptero for helping me film this.

Two Things:

1) Solid work on the videos. Understanding the lessons is much easier when there is game footage to view. Making all the lessons into video is a noble effort and I hope you eventually finish.

2) When using the overhead f3 I would try not to move the camera about so much. It makes it hard to concentrate when the camera is constantly zooming in/out and shifting around. Just start with a wider shot and leave it stationary. Zooming in doesnt really do much, because you can barely see the ships/missles anyway. The icons illustrate your point just fine and you can see those even from a very zoomed out shot.

First two are clear and great.

third one, tbh I'm a little confused what your lessons were. The only one I understood really was the missiles out of range one but you barely even fired out of range. DF from 1300 would've been better.

Maybe doing the run at full speed then slow mo on the kicker?

Is it just me?

Your basically ripping off Juckto's idea and work. Not cool without him saying it's ok. HE needs to be the one who get's the credit at the front and YOU need to take credit for producing it in the back.

It should read Im Juckto not Im Squirg for example and yep I saw the tribute *shrug*

edit: added emphasis so I  don't die at the hands of Juckto because he can't read anymore  x two

Mr C, I was referring more to the capitalization (or lack thereof) of juckto's name, which is has been known to take seriously. He's like bell hooks or e.e. cummings.

For the first video I recommend:
Using the View Target mode instead of F3 to record from. Unfortunately this view doesn't display health bars, so you will have to figure out some other way of demonstrating that the proper way does it better - perhaps a weaker ship for the victim.
Rotating the view so that the bright environment background is behind the aleph. That way the prox will be easy to spot.
Not changing which sector you're looking at.
Not having the text expand from the centre.
And what MrChaos said.

+Edit video2
Awesome, no crediting at all.
When overboosting you didn't even do enough damage on your first pass to stop it mining!!
In the original lesson I had the miner heading towards me, which further highlights the danger of overboosting. If you're using other people to help you film, I recommend using a bbr as the target - as they're what most noobs overboost.
Text was better, although the 2nd slide I'd probably split in two at "and most importantly"
You've already said about recording music...
Turn the brightness up so it's easier to see.
