CC needs (and I thought was supposed to have) an active leader that could be changed when RL/interest issues arose with the team.

Time for the ZLs to get together and have someone else take the reigns I think.

The community understands that a major update has been pending with the completion of OH for a while. The community does not understand why minor changes have not been made for so long.

I could give a @#(! about the balance in nodev DMs as I never play them.
If you make TF beacons the same cost as an IC RP please match their scan range and/or sig balance.

I would like CC to be more open in it's discussions, we heard nothing about retro boosters or stangs in DM's, please be more open

EDIT: Not saying that you are not taking community input as CC04 has not been released, but you can discuss changes like Stangs in DM's to the general community.

Indeed. We had a big thread which the community came to a conclusion but had no feedback from the devs (apart from andon). I'm glad Andon put in the changes since we can then see (once they work) if they will be used. As an old scout whore I loved the idea of them, but they barely worked.
I decided to relive the days gone by in my new blog.

My final post in this thread.

It's exactly my point Hsharp. No discussion was made only changes implemented.

Discussion -> Proposal -> Implementation -> Feedback

To be fair to Andon the CC has been in a state of:

Discussion -> Proposal -> Nothing

for a while now. Adding the non Dev stuff doesn't really make a huge ammount of difference to the vast majority of players so I can see why Andon assumed it would be ok (although I agree with Apoch that it shouldn't have been done without discussion).

If the only thing to come out of this is active CC development, which has been sorely lacking for months now, then I would count that as a good thing.

Agree with juckto but also crono makes some valid points.

imho, Noir was much more open and ready to take suggestions than the current CC devs. He would at least tell you, "no your idea sucks, I'm not implementing it" and he definitely listened to some suggestions, and told you when he did so. I'm not saying DN or noir were better than CC, just that the communication aspect of CC really kind of sucks. From what I saw, CC devs mostly ignored the CC dev forums except apoch, who didn't do much but squabble with people and didn't really communicate any actual CC policy other than his own opinions.

If I understand you post correctly, then my reply would be that they already do.

TF Beacons have roughly half the scan range of IC RP's, but they also have half the signature, making them much harder to spot.
