No. You still cannot tell enemy miners and conses to please come at your mini3s.

Well, they definitely won't listen to your order if you do it using the mouse in Command View, and that should be equivalent. :P The point of this exploit is using the chat box to determine what the enemy *has,* not to order the enemy's ships around.

The point is read before you post :P

I meant, the exploit that's being discussed right now is *that,* so it's not the same problem that MW mentioned that you said was fixed in R2.

So mean badp, but I agree that this exploit isn't extremely detrimental.

It's pretty detrimental, using this I can tell how many miners an opponent has, when and what con's he launches (depending on how frequently I check), an opposing comm can keep his sectors completly clear of probes and scouts but I can still see what techcon he buys so I know what i'm up against, and if the map is scouted out I can get a good idea of where the tech con can be planted and send out a team to rush it, I can guess what tech an enemy is going and get a counter to it asap.

Seeing buildspheres hurts mainly for tele's which are stealthy but with this exploit I know exactly what con is being planted.

Correct me if I'm wrong,Hsharp(you big ugly sack of protoplasm :P ), but can't you pretty much do that with F6 and F3?

Nope, F6 and F3 only work on stuff that has been eyed (f3 requiring it to still be eyed except build spheres and he3 drain).

Using this even if I have no scouts or probes or anything in your home I can tell when you launch a techcon, I don't even need to eye any of your sectors, right at the start of the game I can tell what number your initial miner is, I can tell once you launch your opening op, tele or ref so I can already judge how much money you have spent initially which can give me a good read on if you are going to rush tech or get enh cons or even try to bomb rush.

Any single drone you launch I know what it is regardless of whether it has been eyed (to show up in f6) or not.

Wow..that is a big advantage.Newer comms wouldn't have a chance,especially if they didn't have the stack.
