I always pod kill (0)'s. It's not like they stand a vital threat against the team, plus it's common courtesy. I mean how many times, while a noob, do you remember getting LOST going back to base? You didn't know about BP back then, and here you are ramming an enemy base because you forgot that it's an enemy base.
Not all noobs are like that, but there's a @#(!load of em. And if I see a noob ramming any of my bases while I'm comm, I undock and pk them. Once I pk'd a noob with a 28kb. 28! How does that happen?!
Killing 0 KB pods is bad - Why?
Explains why I have to repeatedly tell noobs to not kill pods.neotoxin wrote:QUOTE (neotoxin @ Jun 16 2008, 11:56 AM) I always pod kill (0)'s.

People just take stuff too seriously I think. Except IB, of course.

Better safe than sorry when dealing with pedestrians in pods. It's awfully suspicious...MrChaos wrote:QUOTE (MrChaos @ Jun 17 2008, 12:09 AM) @#(! just yesterday I pked two people who got into an accident and where on the side of the road walking. Terra told me he loves killin' low KB pods because of this fact, and now I do the same. Mainly because I am insecure about my life.
Ok, simple and quick answer:
Usually pods are not killed.
Ok, semi medium easy long answer,
There is no set rule about killing pods, but the general consensus about this is that if the KB is higher than 15 (correct me if I am wrong), (KB stands for Kill Bonus, you get more points the more you kill), then you kill the pod, otherwise they will get more points (correct me if I am wrong again).
Now, if the pod has a KB lower than 15, then you shouldn't kill it. The pilot actually wants you to kill the pod so he doesn't have to sit through the elevator music that is riding the slow pod back to a base. (Short lame joke: I love the Giggacorp luxury pods that come with the luxury craft. They have cup-holders and guitar hero on a plasma screen TV!)
When you kill a pod, its pilot gets transported immediately back to base. That's why you generally get yelled at for killing pods. Now, sometimes it is hard to not kill them when you have a sticky mouse or finger, and cannot stop firing quickly enough.
