I guess Microsoft can say the same thing. You didn't test the beta therefore screw you. Business like that never lasts.
keep the same attitude and you won't get much player. Not everyone has time to log in everyday and play or can log on at certain time of the week to try out Beta.

i think the biggest issue is the fact that instead of trying beta, there were constantly games being played by people KNOWING that beta testing could be done at any time, yet still choose to play on the regular servers. The "beta test Wednesday" thing is merely an approach to get people into a mindset where they just don't ignore it constantly, and even at that there were only few people actually trying.

I think most people were stuck thinking "Why should i bother testing this out? Someone else will surely do it. Meanwhile, i can play on R3 knowing that i don't have to worry about coming across a bug or problems something in development may throw at me". It's not like the beta was exclusively on Wednesday, it was accessible anytime /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />

oh, and if i'm mis-interpreting this, then sorry, but i don't understand sarcasm and backwards talk when i'm off my meds

You wait for the mod patches before you can play Allegiance? That seems...awful limiting or something.

I haven't played in over a week, but it has nothing to do with R4... consider how busy this time of year is for the college-aged folk, and I know many professionals get swamped here near the end of the year.

Kinda, but once you gotten used to "Good Usability" it's hard going back to clumsy interfaces. Jelloshot has great usability and the position of certain gauges/indicators make the game even more enjoyable. Going back to the default UI is slightly "torturous". For example, I definitely would be less prone to playing if the red/blue base door color mods weren't compatible with R4. That is extremely painful to deal with.

losing cortgui was like losing an arm. losing TE chatpack, was a punishment. having slipstream broken up was annoying. but considering the chucnk of other people NOT playing, psh its not even worth logging in.

And yeah, I beta tested, since they released it.

i suppose i will get on when i finish beating overlord

CortUI should have been implemented into R4... I guess that's what R5 is for!

QFT (quoted for truth). Since I fly almost exclusively in F3 (this is a lie), not knowing my sig, hull, or energy levels makes things more difficult. There's less chat viewable now. It's also exam time for college-mans and college apps for high-school-senior-mans. If you work in retail, it's the beginning of the holiday season (and Thanksgiving too) which means you need to get ready fast. It's the middle of the first fiscal quarter and cogs are turning in the corporate machine too.

O God, college apps >_<

On the flip side, I rather enjoy R4. While the spinning logo doesn't make a lot of sense, it's an interesting gimmick. My favorite part is the new map preview feature. Seems to me more different maps are being played. #mutiny and the no-more-stop-donating button features make a great game play change!
