That seems kind of random. I take it this only happened once? And you are sure you had the newest build? If anyone else crashes in F3 be sure to post.

Problem: F3 view grid broken. (see screenie)
FAZ Beta: 07.06.10

Description: The F3 Grid is only displayed for the upper half of the sector. Zooming in and out moves the border, up to which the grid is being displayed, ie. zooming in will lower the boudary (==> more grid is being rendered), zooming out will show less grid. In flight grid is ok. Problem occurs with 32 bpp as well as 16 bpp.

Im pretty sure this is the right place to report this. I was trying to log in on the beta on a wed (6-13-07) and the error like "failed to launch in time alotted" or someting very similar. To be sure i tried again and the same thing happened. Once i turned off the beta option i was able to play the regular allegiance just fine.

If you are getting "Allegiance did not launch in the time allotted.", with the beta that most likely means that ASGS can't find the beta.

You attempted to follow all the installation instructions, correct? Don't use ASGS to run Allegiance.

Click on the Allegiance_R4beta.exe that you downloaded and try to run it directly. If it runs great. If you get some kind of error post it here unless it one mentioned in the installation instructions and then do what it says there.

freeimage.dll should be kept in the same folder as Allegiance_R4beta.exe

What did you download? The zip linked in the FAZ R4 sticky at the top of the forum contains all the files you need. The one in the updated post is mostly for people who have already got the other files and are updating to the newest version.

I would suggest using my installer. The post is a few threads down.

This was also hapenning to me, but not in last week's build. I can provide screenshots if you like.
I was using the epic core, which may have skewed the models (scaled up etc?)

If you have any problems, delete the 'Allguard' file from your main Allegiance artwork folder. That should be able to fix most problems.
