/wub.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":iluv:" border="0" alt="wub.gif" />
Now simplify color codes and add a context menu to chat box to pick from 8 colors for pimp funky chatting. /doh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="doh.gif" />
PS. Easy colors for in game chat would help commanders to highlight urgent orders...
PS2. Sorry for the almost totally unrelated reply.

Hmm. My one thought about that is while I'm not so sure about using the rank totals, its still better than what we have and is, in its own way, just as good an indicator. Besides, IIRC elo computations are totaly handled by a separate system, arnt they? so to show ELO totals would require a call to an outside server, etc?
Which means that getting Rank totals, since ranks are now based on ELO, would be about as good as we can get without a major overhaul of that section of code?

Absolutely correct. The best we can do is use the numbers already there to come up with a way to separate the users.
If we were to use the full Elo system, we would have to make a separate request to a separate server every time anyone joined/left the game to keep that number up to date. If some router along the way died and disconnected 10 users at once, that'd hammer the call and cause lag.
The best we can do without a complete overhaul are simple averages, or sums, etc.
