Well I can't be bothered with buying a joystick, but I would summize that a joystick for ship control and an optical mouse or trackball for gun aiming would be the ideal setup. I only use 5 keyboard buttons and a trackball. The key is being able to aim with percision. Ramming sfer to death is also fun and requires no aiming. Just tell the miner to autopiliot to the sfer.

dont listen to anything he said, it is almost entirely BS.

first of all, you should be using WAY more then 5 keyboard buttons, secondly, touching a miner without com's permission, is a fasttrack to the bootstick, leave that to the more experienced players.

nextly, use whatever you feel comfortable with. alot of people use a joystick, but many more also use a mouse because of the precision it offers.

i prefer a trackball, or my touchpad, along with an extensive re-mapping of my keys, and a 10key usb keypad.
