FSOpen has incredibly good graphics. But its a combat sim, not an RTS-FPS hybrid that Alleg is.

I've thought that Alleg with FSO's graphics engine incorporated will make a great game. But thats just a pipe-dream.

I have Homeworld 1, and I've played Homeworld 2 and Homeworld 1's graphics are no where near EVE's. "Slightly worse"? Jeez, that sort of thing should be checked out at an optometrist, seriously.

well maybe i should have said artwork - i dont like EVE's ship designs and starfields. i much prefer homeworlds.

but ive seen screenshots of EVE and really they do not look that much better.

anyway Homeworld's colours are way cooler. everything in EVE is all so black and grimy.
