I know i can't have parts that move. Its more of just i want them to look and feel stealthy. My faction kind feels like a scientifically advanced version of the belters. Based on anti-matter tech who ran from one war into another.
Thus being a small group or militants and researchers. They rely on stealth and tech that is able to be fast and hit at a distance. But not as strong normal weapons. They work harder on shields to keep tier hulls as light as possible. Their major weakness I would imagine would be emp weapons with a fire and forget missle since they haven't had to worry about missles before so they have no countermeasures. I like this idea a lot and i finish my first station. While i put my scout on hold; which can strangly be converted into a tt and htt looking version. But with the caps ship i want them to have missles as thier first borrowed technology. Is it possiable to give turrets missles? And if not I'll just give them Killer swarm since their cap chip is suppose to be a slow moving more like a defensive missle platform. I want their cap to get owned by other caps though. maybe i can skin the missles with a laser look and i could give them missles that are uneffected by counters

Peeps, PM me some sample xfiles and their textures. One of the things is that I can't curently verify blender's .x exporter is 100% functional.
Or e-mail me via gmail (at adrian dot cheater)
UPDATE: Well, I figured out the DX export path through, well, anything that can write .X files. What's worse is, some other guys from RT figured this out awhile ago, no one bothered to mention it to me. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I'm working on some documentation that explains it, but simply put, if you just place a mesh on your model, and call it one of the various names, like frm-SSxxxx (for strobes), frm-thrust (for engine glow), frm-trail (trail output) etc... then you can get the mdlc tool to compile it into an .mdl file.
So anyway, give me a few days, and I'll have some documentation and samples on how to setup your models properly.

it doesn't need to be a joint with that name?
mdlc does models too? i thought it was only for converting a .bmp file to a bmp.mdl file

I guess its possiable you would have to make the mass huge and give it paper thin armor and make the class of armor light plus it would have to go pretty fast or have like 50x the mass of a spacestation in stats wise but i assume it could work. pretty much the same way the melee ship i want to work except mine will have a high hull good speed and agility and no weapons just ram them ftw. i guess its plausiable to make a entire faction of ships that don't have weapons..... all the upgrades focus on speed agility hull thrusters shields and the such and maybe a good econonomy.
