It is cumbersome to find out exactly where another team member is (which sector, where in the sector) when they're communicating with you either individually (pvt PM) or to entire Team, etc.
This is esp. difficult when someone uses the quick chats.

Example: "Found enemy miners, request assistance" ==> would be helpful if the message showed exactly which sector that player is in. Or better yet, for it to be a command that you can either hit [insert] or [delete] on.

Ex. "Is the aleph mined?" ==> There are times when there are two different sectors (alephs) the team is rushing and one is mined the other isn't. In a split second I don't nec. know where that player is, which aleph are they asking about?

There are lots of other examples. When there are a lot of players in a game, it can be really difficult w/o constantly switching to F6 to look the player up, or typing in general chat, etc. When you're in base, you can see where players are in each sector more easily, but in ship view, it would be so much more helpful if your HUD displayed where the player is when communicating so that you don't have to do so many key clicks and view changes.

Maybe look on the minimap for enemy miner icons? Hell you should know roughly where the enemy miners are at all times.

Well the idea I was getting at is not to have to do a lot of clicking on minimap, F6, etc in order to find information about where the other player is. It's just time-consuming and cumbersome. Plus, miners can be in different sectors, and you don't nec. know which one the player that requested assistance is calling from. My idea is about more speed, efficiency, and accuracy in team communication.

You don't have to click, mouseover works. Generally speaking all your team mates want help miner killing, soloing is hard even if I do make it look easy /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

well, if there was a location tag on the VC commands "Found enemy miners, request assistance!" (Gery) that might help. Still, it seems a little too cumbersome to me. Not worth the effort in my opinion.

It would be great to fix this, but how much development work is needed?

Usually though, "skill" is used to covertly mean "match the game exactly to my level of competence." Anyone who is at all worse than me should fail utterly (and humorously!) and anyone better is clearly too caught up in the game and their opinions shouldn't count.
