Jorm, I think it would be a good idea if you were forced to play EU for a month.
Thrown to the wolves and all that.

I am back again to save the day...
1 Allegiance 3309
2 Entropia Universe 3131
It's magic:
1 Entropia Universe 3429
2 Allegiance 3320
Quite impressive. 298 votes in 140 minutes and nobody else voting an posting in their forum in that time.
That makes an average of over 2 votes a minute from this guy. Impressive performance even for a script kiddie. :-)

QUOTE Another twitch based space game is Allegiance which is like natural selection in space. The commander portion of the game is simply fantastic and really well thought out.Unfornatley the community sucks and the devs are so scared of losing their old players they bend over and let them do whatever the hell they want.
Is this true? It's taken from the MPOGD forum. This game didn't seem to have very good rep in there.
And please STOP going to the EU forums to show off your wit. They take it all in the wrong way.
Edit: added emphasis

Alleg didn't have a good rep with me when i first tried it out. Everyone kept complaining about people being "Elite-ests" and that long time/veteran players would newbie bash without mercy and complain about them all the time.
In a way, thats partially true, especially if you consider the fact that a newbie stands a snowball's chance in a fire factory of merely logging in and immediately launching and podding a whore like Weedman or such. Then theres the fact that newbs sometimes can't get into a game cause some vets wanna stack the winning team, and make them newbies have to join the weaker side or completely sit out (in which both are unacceptable if you want an increasing playerbase).
In that way, it could be considered newbie bashing, but then again that happens in almost any online game. Luckily though, i have a "don't knock it till you try it" kind of attitude, and decided to try it since it looked like it would be a fun game regardless.
thats my 2cents, and if my opinion irritates or offends anyone, you can have them

Long answer: No. Despite some loudmouthed idiots, the community is quite astonishing. Natural selection? This guy has likely never tried commanding and also doesn't know how to mutiny. Sucks? Which other game has an 8-week introductionary course like @CDT? Do whatever you want? Look at the ban list.
Look at some other posts by this Ian. I read about 5 at random and he's tearing apart most games he's talking about. Seems like he is just one very unhappy specimen. :-)
