MPOGD sure does have a way of causing gamers to b*tch about other gamers. It's like the geek's version of a sewing circle.
Also, it's pretty clear we don't seem to have the playerbase to compete with these bigger games. We did pretty well against EU considering it boasts over 500k players and we have, what, 1.3k? And they still needed to cheat
At any rate, the best we can hope for is top five. Front page of MPOGD is still decent advertising for Dominion.

In the EU forums, it doesn't look like they have considered anything but Dominion as a threat...the first posts mentioning Allegiance were very recent. Based on their voted thread being 180 pages long, I think they won't be very happy when Allegiance pases them.

From the looks of the EU forums, they're collecting donations of their ingame currency to pay someone to vote for them near the end of the month.. so, slowing down once we hit #1 might be a bad idea.

It will. I came over from Dominion after checking out your game and deciding to play (I guess you could say I'm batting for both teams now /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />). The people at EU donate cyber-cash and distribute representation points to regular voters. There's also one guy who voted 200 times in a single day when he offered to do so for x amount of EU currency. That's how Dominion lost the #1 spot to them.
