We didn't. Not even as much as you did.

The PM of the UK is the leader of the government. The government is usually the largest party by number of MPs following a general election. Therefore when a PM who is a party leader resigns it's an internal party matter to select a new leader who then becomes PM by default.

So "Britain Trump" as literally nobody is calling him was elected by the Conservative Party membership (approx. 0.05% of the population) not the country.

Give it time though, I'm sure we can manage to $#@! up even more a nation between now and the end of October.

Imho the UK needs tons of "spitting image" episodes. Or "Yes Minister".

Well, technically she wasn't. She led the largest party but could only form a majority with the support of the DUP who are the Northern Irish version of American bible bashing headcases.

Don't worry Comrade Duckski, I signed that in the first 500k :)

The venerable UK constitution is taking a rare old battering at the moment. Will Johnson get a 2/3rds majority for an election under the FTPA? Or will they try bringing a new bit of legislation for a simple majority and risk an anti-no deal amendment being added to it?
