Do you remember how Trump's promise was to bring back blue collar manufacturing jobs? Or how he said this was all his doing? And how his fanboys (probably in this same thread) said it was proof of his tactics/business savvy/whatever?
Trump has been promising to bring back jobs where you don't need to be educated to get a good pay. Everyone else has been saying that is in the past. You can get a high paying engineering job or a low paid packing job anywhere in the US without problem. Foxconn is now saying there may be 1000 jobs by 2020, instead of the 5,200 initially promised. There are roughly 50,000 engineering jobs in Seattle for comparison, and that doesn't include software engineers
It was just some Chinese billionaire blowing smoke up the GOP and Trump's asses to get them to grant him a massive tax cut to do business in the US. We are talking 3 BILLION dollars in tax incentives just for them to open an R&D and packaging facility. For comparison, Amazon is getting roughly the same amount to bring 50,000 high paying jobs to NYC and Viriginia.
Trump and the GOP were so desperate to look good they got massively played by actual billionaires. I'd say it's karma for Trump, but what will GOP voters think? (If fox news even reports it)
